Dear parents, carers and children,

As we find ourselves in the difficult situation of school closure, we are providing every opportunity for your child to continue with their learning. On our school website, we are providing a range of activities for the children to complete at home. These can be read directly from the website, or downloaded and printed off. We aim to share these activities on a weekly basis during term time on ClassDojo, so your child will have plenty to do!

Every child in school on Wednesday 18th March was provided with an A4 exercise book so they have a place to record their learning. Year 6 have been provided with additional maths revision materials.

In addition to any activities provided by the school, there will be a list of useful websites which have resources and ideas for your child’s home learning. Your child will also have access to Times Table Rockstars and Scholastic Reading Pro from home so they can complete times table challenges and reading quizzes. It is important that children continue to read a wide range of text types, both fiction and non-fiction, during the time of enforced school closures.

Of course, learning is not just about ‘formal subjects’! As you are aware, there are a wealth of home activities that provide brilliant learning opportunities. Home baking & cooking, board and card games and gardening, to name but a few.

Thank you all for working with us at this time.
